Oak Park Family and Oak Park Senior Project

The Oak Park Family project includes multi-family housing on four parcels: Butte County APN #007-560-011, #007-560-012, and #007-560-013. The Oak Park Senior Project is adjacent to the family units, on Butte County APN #007-560-053. The Oak Park Family and Oak Park Senior Projects will be developed on a contiguous 6-acre property, near existing senior housing facilities. One of the three existing single-family homes on-site will remain and will be utilized as a manager’s unit for the family development. The project also proposes to construct a community building on Parcel 007-560-012, ideal for providing a community space and supportive services for both Projects. A large part of the property will also be preserved as open space, to help preserve multiple mature oak trees on the property.

The Oak Park Family Project includes 10 two-story garden style walk up apartments for families with 76 total units, including the detached Manager’s Unit. There will be 38 1-bedroom units that are 675 square feet; 19 2-bedroom units that are 865 square feet; and 19 3-bedroom units that are 1,100 square feet. The 2-bedroom manager’s unit will also be on-site and it is 675 square feet. The average square footage for units at this property, excluding the Manager’s Unit, is 825 square feet. The average AMI for all units within the Oak Park Family Project is 54%.

The Oak Park Senior Project is a multi-family apartment development for seniors consisting of 60 units in total, which includes a Manager’s Unit within the building. There will be 18 studio units at 461 square feet and 42 1-bedroom units at 675 square feet. The average square footage for units at this property is 610 square feet. The average AMI for all units within the Oak Park Senior Project is 52%.

The Oak Park Senior and Oak Park Family Projects serve two distinct demographics but are being analyzed together under a singular Environmental Assessment because they are adjacent to one another on a vacant lot, consisting of four parcels sold together. The Projects already have secured funding which supports their concurrent planning and construct
